The Silverado’s engine options are quite efficient, matching the truck’s performance with your needs. The standard Chevy engine on the 2019 Silverado 1500 RST and LT trim levels is a turbocharged 2.7-Liter 4-cylinder; which replaces the 4.3-Liter V6 engine that the RST and LT trims had before. This engine is also able to produce 310-horsepower and 348 pound-feet of torque.
There is also the new 5.3-Liter V8 engine with Dynamic Fuel Management, which is being debuted on the 2019 Silverado. This engine is available with the LT and RST trim levels, but it isn’t standard on them. The 5.3-Liter V8 engine is rated to deliver an impressive 355-horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque. The fuel ratings of these two new engines will be available closer to the release date.
Some of the other specifications include a 6.2-Liter V8 engine and a 3.0-Liter I6 turbo-diesel engine; as well as the new Hydra-Matic 10-speed automatic transmission and 8-speed automatic transmission. The 6.2-Liter V8 is predicted to produce 420-horsepower nad 460 pound-feet of torque.
